Fibon Energy is a wholly black-owned and controlled South African company focused on developing and advising on utility-scale renewable energy projects in Southern Africa.

Who we are

Fibon Energy is a developer of utility-scale renewable energy projects.  Our initial focus has been on solar PV, hydro and wind projects.   The group relies on the intellectual capacity of its human capital with legal, financial and environmental experience to develop renewable projects. Our mission is to provide innovative, lucid and value-added services to the renewable industry, which we believe is the energy of the future.

Our focus is on commercialising renewable opportunities in selected SADC markets and in Africa. Fibon Energy acts as an asset manager and overall coordinator for power generation assets, specializing however in the solar development and advisory process.

What we do

We work with landowners, project developers, technical partners, regulators and investors to source and develop projects. Fibon Energy acts as the project interface by coordinating and identifying the project structure, selecting the strategic partners and arranging financing in whole, or in part, for such projects.

We work across the value of chain of commercialising a renewable project from: site identification obtaining all relevant regulatory approvals, (including permits, licenses, authorisations and any other necessary permissions to be obtained in order to develop the project),, appointing a technical Engineering Procurement and Construction company (EPC), raising the capital (by way of debt and equity) and project management up until financial close.
